WORKSHOPS...
"IN SEARCH OF KNOWLEDGE"
This workshop is a vocational tool to help our youth understand that success is within their grasp, by showing them the wide variety careers available to them. The workshop shows how individuals
are using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) on a daily basis in any career. It combines a history lesson with an original photo exhibit to show our history as a living history rather than just a list of names and facts of people in the past.
“Possibilities”
Many successful individuals were inspired during their adolescence when someone took the time to come to their school or community to talk to them about how they were able to overcome obstacles to succeed. The workshop allows our youth to interact with adults and discuss the wide variety of careers available to them.
“Preserving Your Family History Through Photographs”
We don’t always recognize the importance of events within our own family, but we must preserve our history so the whole story will be known. In this workshop, participants explore using their photographs and other options available to preserve their family’s history.
“PARENTING PARTIES”
“Parenting Parties” help parents and teens survive adolescence with their sanity intact with the support and comfort of others. For parents, these sessions provide a safe haven to discuss parenting issues while finding solutions to problems. For teens, these seminars address issues they are facing while coming of age in the 21st century.
